Not showing well at all. Overripe mid palate, astringent acidity, bell pepper and the wrong kind of funk in the finish. Very out of whack and seriously lacking in structure. And what's up with the color? It looks like Burgundy, not CDP.

2009 opened 2017. Tight and puckery right out of the bottle, but it opened up splendidly. Hints of leather and flinty soil. Mostly smooth tannins, but after an hour in a carafe there was still a little bit of tartness to keep it interesting .
