The wine is inky purple and has a beautiful nose full of blackberries and oak spice - vanilla, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg - and even a whiff of smoke. The palate shows the big, black fruit along with the spice rack and a tannic structure that is plenty firm enough for a steak but not too toothy for sipping.

Deep ruby, visually looks hot but alcohol is not evident on palate: well balanced. Smells of dark fruit and tea leaves. Deep sweet almost Syrah-like fruit. Elegant, very fine tannins, fruit is refined with a slight candied aspect. Nice.

Terrific for its price. I love the fruitiness and the freshness. Tannins are heavy and gentle at the same time, surprisingly.
