Lokoya's Cabernet Sauvignon (Howell Mountain) draws on both fruit from the Jackson family's Keyes and La Jota vineyards, which is unusual, as the wine is usually made only from Keyes. Plush, deep and inky, the 2015 races across the palate with layers of inky blue/purplish fruit, spice, new leather, licorice and lavender. Deep, powerful and super-concentrated, the 2015 has a lot to offer. Here, too, winemaker Chris Carpenter has tamed the mountain tannins considerably. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, March 2018)

This was the wine of the tasting and weekend. It’s in a perfect place right now. Beautifully integrated, amazing fruits with a lean toward blue fruit with dark cherries, baking spices as they should be in all Napa red...soft, balanced blends and perfectly layered. Bright, beautiful dark florals, nicely balanced, great texture and long beautiful finish. Great experience hosted by my fellow Sommelier and friend, Brian Baker. Thank you for a great day tasting. As well, great to catch up. Lokoya’s new facility is amazing. Pictures don’t do it justice.

Absolute perfection in every sense. As in EVERY sense. It's a big wine, but this will easily go 20 years, probably longer.

A truly spectacular wine. It’s Godzilla wearing a pair of Cinderella slippers. It will tip toe across your palate effortlessly and with finesse but demands your full attention and respect while never letting go of you. The finish is stunningly long & begs you to take another sip 🙌👏👏🙌😘.
Thank you Bradley for a badass tasting and for your hospitality which was 2nd to none
Our stay was a winning bid from the Palm Beach Wine Auction and I’ll make sure we win this one again next year!!!!! The entire Lokoya team are Rockstars! Bradley, Brian, Leona and one of the best chef’s on the planet Tracey Shepos Cenami!!! Thank you for an Epic stay atop of the wine world!

I have a hard time deciding which is my favor terroir of Lokoya, Spring or Howell Mountain? The one has beautiful, ruby fruits-almost blueberry compote, creamy, ruby, ripe; blackberries, dark cherries & black raspberries & black plum. Loamy dry soils, clay, anise, rich dark turned earth, soft spice, the wine is so fresh, elegant with great florals of violets & lilacs. The finish is round, full and very well polished. This has a long way to go but in 15 years it’s an eye roller.

My favorite Lokoya of all time and that is not a comment made without serious consideration.
