Monasterio de Santa Cruz Tarragona Monastrell Tempranillo

This wine punches above its weight but it really needs a solid hour decant. It starts out one-dimensional. There’s a healthy tartness that then gives way to some interesting spice as the wine opens up. #monastrell #tempranillo

A good no headache red.

Nice and light. Hints of fruit with some spice throughout. Had 2008 in November of 2016.

Intense and tanniny, but rounds out nicely if left to breathe a while (monastrell/tempranillo blend)

1990 from wine society as good as chene but not Indian for parties

A nice summer wine.
