Baby Marechale! 2020 is a classic in the making, showing some oak now but great palate.

2019 Marechale held its own against 19 Mugneret Gibourg. Solid wine.

Absolutely love Mugnier’s 2012s. While many remain reticent and coiled for the long haul, Mugnier’s wines are totally open for business showing exceptional elegance, detail and vibrancy. CdlM in particular really deserves more love. It’s not Fuées, but it’s such a great plot in Mugnier’s hands and drinks more producer than NSG. NSG with Chambolle flair.

So tight - Only starting to open on Day #2. deep rich blue fruits are waking up in the background. These Wines are truly built for the long-haul and I don’t think 10 years is nearly enough time for them to show their true self.

Singing right off the bat on the pnp. Love the vintage for Mugnier. It’s elegant, airy and pure with a simultaneous intensity. Sweet red cherries, hibiscus, dried flowers, sous bois, minerals and exotic spices. There is layered complexity and terrific focus. Lifted, harmonious and persistent finish. Beautiful. 07 red Burgundy drinking so well right now!
