I liked this earthy, peppery Francois with firm tannins more than others.

At Boia De in little Hati in Miami. Leave it to strip mall restaurants to deliver.

Molasses / Port aroma

W cassoulet. Not too bad

The 2016 is ready and a perfect match for my vinegar chicken with tarragon butter. Blackberry and hint of violets.

Surprisingly strong performance from the 2012 vintage. Leather, blackberry and the aura of authority that suggests a few more years would get more interesting still. I’ll be back.

Earthy, leathery, blackberry and cassis. Rather tight and tannic, so it could use a few more years in the bottle. Will buy another for future pour.
