Vintage 2017 | made from 40% Cabernet franc 40% Abouriou and 20% Merlot. From the relatively unknown Côtes du Marmandais. The wine has a smell with hints of red fruit, predominantly minerals and also some cedar/cigarbox. Very quaffable wine with a velvety structure ánd character. Good effort! | Paired with a Tunafish starter and Risotto Porcini afterwards.

Gorgeously funky yet approachable. Manure and hardcore Brett on the nose. Juicy black cherry, burnt wood, burnt hair, humming acidity, all barnyard in the mid palate, sour note in the finish, tannins pummeling my tongue and teeth.

Nice discovery of the southwest, with this entry-level cuvée that makes you want to know the rest of the production. A blend that puts Abouriou in the spotlight, a grape close to Malbec or Tannat. The whole presents a very nice balance between structure and freshness; rather oriented red fruits, supported by marked tannins. Good q / p ratio

Belle découverte du sud-ouest, avec cette cuvée d’entrée de gamme qui donne envie de connaître le reste de la production. Un assemblage mettant l’Abouriou à l’honneur, cépage proche du Malbec ou Tannat. An perfect fruity wine made by Elian Da Ros crafting its "entry" level wine to a serious spot . 20 % Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc & 40% Abouriou ( the local grape) 12 month ageing - very pleasant - Simple, friendly, a winemaker that work with passion and care for its terroir - forgotten appellation in French South West delivering a good value for money

'This wine is a party,' & on Day 2 even more so. Élian Da Ros apprenticed @ Dom. Zind-Humbrecht, then returned to SW France. Native grape Abouriou adds a dash of terroir.
