A blend of 90% Cab Sauv & 10% Petit Verdot, aromas of dark fruit and complex spice. On the palate ripe cherry and blackberry fruit with herb pepper spice, smoke and cacao. Fine dusty tannins, well balanced, great mouthfeel with lively acidity ending on a rich long finish, with loads of room to age. Very nice encapsulating Rutherford Terroir!

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve has turned out beautifully. Dark, sumptuous and powerful, the 2015 is a super-attractive wine. Sweet red cherry, rose petal, mint and pomegranate are woven together in a racy Cabernet with no hard edges, good freshness for the year and terrific overall balance. Silky, polished tannins add to the wine's considerable appeal. The Reserve can get a bit lost in Round Pond's range, but it is arguably the wine that best captures the personality of this Rutherford site. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, March 2018)

Next door to caymus. Equally as impressive as anything on the Rutherford cross...just a much better value and finished result.

Stark contrast from their Kith & Kin and Rutherford cab. The first two are all about the dark characteristics...dark fruit, dark ground/earthy hints, and dark coffee like spice. This on the other hand strives for elegance. Brighter fruits...Bing cherries, maybe even rhubarb. The spice is more floral than coffee/espresso. Very smooth.

Three things - Saturday night drinking by myself as tennis rules wife's life thus time of year so being an alcoholic. Next is loving the Ryder Cup so far and finally a little smile as feeling lonely except for the delectable gang and NY is two weeks away right @Ron R so some smiling going on

Another crowd pleaser! Despite being so young I believe it's drinking well right now. Deep purple in the glass showing signs of it being highly concentrated and extracted. Soft supple tannins, green pepper, muddled black and red berries and plum. Ends with a little spice, oak and vanilla.
