Always one of Napa's best and most interesting wines at about $30. The 2013 has 50% Sangiovese and the other half a mix between Merlot and Syrah. It's full bodied but elegant. Black licorice, a touch of oatmeal. Robert Parker uses the word "lush" to describe this wine, and I couldn't agree more.

Loved the kirch like cherry on the nose, sweet fruit, slight iodine. Tannins are well integrated, you feel quality winemaking here.

Transparent garnet purple in the glass. Earthy black cherry and tea on the nose; echoed on the palate with firm tannins and slight hint of tar on the finish. Very nice place now but I'd drink up as the fruit is beginning to fade.

Fruit bomb. Lucious black and blue fruit. Lots of oak and baking spice. Brightness from the Sangiovese is not enough.

Excellent blend. Very flavorful, but with the dry Sangiovese finish everyone knows. It is also a great value!

@Ryan Carey nailed it on the review. My 2016 bottle was the same but I’ll add that this is a distinctly different #sangiovese blend from what you would find in Italy. More lush, less spice and tartness.
