This one is a heavyweight. Rich darkness is balanced by brazen and aggressive tannins. Active universe in a bottle.

Blackberry, raspberry preserves, black cherry, plum, mocha, oak and hints of licorice. Excellent structure and well-integrated tannins.

A tiny bit oaky on the nose and not the classic Merlot aromatics for me.
A good wine nonetheless and it will no doubt benefit from cellaring but the more I tasted domestic Merlot the less I'm a fan.

2007, really!?! That much acidity still... this was a mind Blowing bottle in the tasting room all day. Need to stock some away

Ultra unctuous, velvety merlot, as expected from mountain fruit. Delicious.
