Bright ruby, medium plus concentration, extraction, and viscosity. Sweet and savory on the nose. Iodine and ripe to overripe blue and black berries. Leather, game, sweat, and dust. Medium acid, tight tannins. 50/50 new/used French barriques. A blend of Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, and Cab Sauv.

Post Scriptum De Chryseia is inky indigo and impenetrable at its core. The nose is a wild array of blackberry, cigar boxes, leather and the whole spice rack. It has a great mouthfeel, full and rich with enough tannic structure to handle prime rib, yet not so much that it ruins the sip. That dark fruit is lip-smacking good on the palate and it carries along a savory saddlebag of spices, which linger long on the finish.

Medium+ intensity aromas of strawberry, red plums, dark cherry, vanilla, cedar and hints of violets. Dry in the mouth with a medium+ well-integrated acidity, medium+ fine-grained tannins, medium(+) body and medium(+) intensity flavours. Long finish. Very good quality wine. It has a lingering finish and a perfect balance between all structural elements. The nose is elegant and shows complexity provided by oak ageing, however not enough to be considered outstanding. The wine is too young to drink now. It has a very firm tannic and acidic structure and will benefit from a couple of years of cellaring, it has a cellaring potential of 7-10 years.

Carmel, juniper berry, smoked tea leaf. Acid gives way after a few hours. Tannins uneven. Fruit began in balance.

Rich powerful dark fruit jumps out. Nice structure. This '11 drinks like a well-made Bordeaux with a little age on it.
