2012 vintage, if you can't tell.

My favorite grape from my favorite producer of this grape. Stemmy cherries with a lacquered finish, pink peppercorns and a savory herb nose that leads to a red fruit dominated palate that is as juicy as it is quaffable. The dry finish makes me want to drink more.

Interesting. Would not be able to pick this blind. Light on its feet. Fresh raspberries on the palate with spearmint. On the nose-fruit. Grapey and punch. Kind of cool. Mod+ acidity

Light and flavorful. Kind of like a Pinot Noir.

Whereas the 2011 vintage of this was bright and shiny, this has a more glossy purple sheen to it. Coastal fruit aromas of red fruit with sweet sage. The palate is beginning to show the wines age, as the fruit isn't as lively, but that's probably more of a result of the grape not being able to age well.

Beautiful color, like raspberry molasses that just sparkles. The nose also has raspberries, fresh and luscious, along with some green stemminess that carries a candied fruit quality. The palate is equally pretty, the candied raspberries showing first with a light body that dances on your tongue. I love mourvedre, and this is seriously one of the best out there.

Great buy from Last Bottle. Good acidity, great fruit (especially for the age), and went well with the flank steak and avocado salsa.
