The fact that this label says titulus and there's a chick in a bikini in the background was completely coincidental. The wine's alright.

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC 2012, 12.5%. This Verdicchio is famous worldwide because of the green amphora shape bottle. Surprisingly pleasant: the nose is fine, hints of bread crust, floral and a little mineral too. In the mouth it is first fresh, then rich and buttery, with the right acidity.

Cream soda, hazelnut, caramelized apples, lemon zest and a hint of grapefruit. I'm a new fan!

Yeasty and bready. Soft and neutral. Strong wine yet subtle.

Fazi Battaglia was founded in 1949 and is now run by fourth generation relatives of the original partners. The brand was first known for its quality white Verdicchio from the Marche. Straw yellow of this 100% Verdicchio Blanca, with aromas of white flesh fruits and citrus. On the palate white peach and lemon zest flavors with generous acidity and minerality. The 2010 was still tasting good. Nice value.

This should be dead and is far from it. It has an almost Savennierres funk with acidity to hold everything in place.

Yes, 1995 vintage. Weird, but not dead. Acid and r.s. support the honied, developed flavors.

what up amphora? Bright yellow w some gold flecks. Bruised golden delicious apple, concentrated almost artificial lemon, dried apricot, and crushed almond. Dry and full-bodied with lots of phenolic pull--though a touch hot on the finish.
