Enjoyed the blend breakdown on the label. Nice to see the target if making a nice blend versus marketing another "fit in the box" wine in napa

Earth in a bottle. So much mineral it's hard to believe that this was made from fruit.

Blend of '08 and '09 vintages, and benchland and mountain fruit. Such a unique wine: medium- weight but medium+ acid and tannin with distinct barnyard character framing the fruit. Paired with a cioppino, Dante, Great Falls.

Tasting perfect. This is not typical Napa Bordeaux. Herbs, eucalyptus, stone, sea salt, plums, sandalwood, touch of cherry, but this is all about the earth and stone. Tasted best after about an hour or two of air. Has a few more years of life left. Love these aged value wines from Cain!

This is excellent for the price. Slap a Bordeaux label on this and everyone would suddenly think it’s better. Tons of earth, tea, berries, some forest. After 4 hours of air the Merlot exploded through with cassis, plums, and a bit of baking spice (clove). Just well balanced medium body style Napa.
