To my mind, the quintessential $20 Oregon Pinot: explosive aromas of boysenberry and spice, with corresponding flavors, concentration and a superfine, acid finish. Burgundian in its lower alcohol and understatement, it’s the kind of confident, relaxed effort to be expected from a winemaker who has Burgundy in her DNA.

Boysenberry, little currants; crunchy. Fresh and full of life. Exactly what to expect from $20 Oregon Pinot. Much better in ‘16 than in blazing hot years like ‘14 or ‘15. #oregon #willamette #pinotnoir

Ripe fruit and earth. Delightful nose and lovely pairing with pesto pasta, lamb and even parched fish.

Candied Cherry and pomegranate with soft floral tones. Delicate structure with juicy texture and good acidity that doesn't make itself known, it just lifts the fruit and frames everything beautifully. This isn't as complex and complete as the Hyland vineyard but damn close and very good.

2013. Simple little red cheapie. Light, fresh, and on the dry side. Nice breakfast wine. It's a bit one dimensional.
