Not your grandparents Barbera. Big.. This drinks like a Syrah, inky, dark/ripe plum, dried herbs, spice, licorice, medium plus tannin, full mouthfeel and medium acid. Warm, ABV 14%. Normally a go to for food for me, but this is too big for my palate. Bummer.

2017 vintage. Super impressed with this #nosulfite wine. No funkiness, bright bing cherry notes, lengthy finish, elegant & fresh

Slight effervescence, tart berry flavor, medium body at most. A fun summer option.

Give some props for organic but i ain’t grading on a curve. Got that leathery, bitter herb and ripe dark fruit going on. Kind of punches you in the mouth at first, but it mellows from there. Worth considering for the biodynamic aspect but just okay beyond that.

A simple, linear, easy drinking Barbera. Young with cherry fruit. Acidity is key to this wine and pairs well with meat.
