Quite tasty. Good Anderson valley fruit, it's distinct from the RRV and Sonoma coast...Dirty nose featuring plenty of barnyard, but some nice red ripe fruit as well on the palate. Sadly just a tad too hot, at 14.5%abv. Makes for excellent BBQ wine however.

Second try at this year and designate, the first being upon release in Spring 2012 at the Mac House in Mendocino, where a friend dubbed it a MacFail. The wine reeked of reduction, new leather car seats, and burning tire. Last night that telltale stank was still there, but night two I'm getting the Anderson valley notes of cannabis infused blueberries and mint. Rich as all get out on the palate, reminding me of the ducky wines but with a little less new wood.

Such great structure. Young and marred by the clove nutmeg oakiness of many new mendo pinot.

cherry nose. Dry - oaky - a bit acidic. Didn’t care for it

With almost 7 years bottle age, this is a gorgeous, structured and almost decadent wine. Still very fresh, and ripe with all the spice and dried cranberry notes that are signature of this vineyard. Loved loved loved it.
