Plavac Red Blend

Food/friendly wine that is lighter in color and body but has some serious tannic rip going for it. Not unlike a Nebbiolo, honestly, but with fruit profiles that delve into Zin territory.

Medicinal when cold. At Dosa recommended by their somm.

Pretty great for $10. Light bodied and translucent, but with structured and somewhat rustic tannins. Spicy red fruit, much like a zin. Very aromatic. Hard to imagine food that would not go with this.

#wine is cool, Puffeney Poulsard'esque minus the overbearing sulphur. Medium bodied with bright red fruit & nice tannin structure

Quality red dry wine

Simple, light, white pepper, little fruit, juicy.

Very drinkable plavac with lots of berries and raisins. Held up against a spicy red sauce, but imagine it could accompany something more delicate as well. Versatile and cheap...quite a combo!

Very light and warm on the nose. Starts pleasantly sweet which is immediately followed by a dryness that not only compliments the flavor, but goes very well with a spread of peppered meats. The dry drops out on the finish leaving you warmed and a light fig taste that stays with you... Thanks Gio for the recommendation
