Terrific vanilla cherry pie note. A tannic, chalky quality in the finish. Definitively new world but not syrupy. Perfectly integrated dryness.

Ok. This could definitely rival my favorite weekly cabs that could be a 150$ napa wine. Cabernet of two winemakers and blended with Tempranillo merlot and PV. Just extremely memorable, loads of fruit and so smooth with some caramel and a minute finish. Bravo!!

$20 Small/Medium nose. Earthy, blackberry, spice, tobacco notes on the nose. Closed bouquet. Too young. Cherry color. Off dry, cherry, blackberry, mild spice, chalky finish. Low acid, low alcohol, low tannins, medium body. A little bland with a slight tang. A little boring.

A great effort considering region and price point. Smooth, round and polished. Savory with a pleasant herbaceousness. A soft and pleasant finish. Far too many cabs from paso are overdone, stewed and do not carry their oft-high alcohol levels well. This is a nice departure from that trend. An excellent value here.
