This was really cool to try. Don’t know much about the producer. I only got to enjoy this as a pop and pour so I’m not sure how it changed later in the evening, but it had dark cocoa dusted dates, old graham cracker and baked blackberry aromatics. Still youthful on the palate with fig, old graham cracker, and red & black ripe fruit. Hope to try one of these again.

This Australian Shiraz has four years of age on it. The dark wine displays a nose rich with flinty minerals and black and blue fruit. The palate shows similar, but a little heavier on the fruit. Still, the earth is plainly there. There's a zippy acidity and some fairly youthful tannins that invite a pairing your favorite steak.

Big and powerful. A little cooked tasting in our opinion. Tastes like an ultra ripe Napa cab. Good for Australian stuff.

Shiraz for the aficionado, right out central casting. Bright, pure and stopping just at the edge before over-extracted. Could’ve been dessert but that’s a compliment, chewy dark red and blue fruit.

A bold red, well made. Classic McLaren SHZ in a good way

Non blousy but distinctly Aussie Shiraz. Slight floral, raspberry, toffee Apple, boysenberry, sage, vanilla and slight chestnuts. Ample fine grained tannins that should hold it in good stead for ageing, but certainly approachable now.
