Villa Crespia is a interesting winery. This is their basic Franciacorta Brut (24 months on yeasts). In the eyes, a pale but brilliant yellow. Perlage is not so tiny and the spume is a bit coarse but not disturbing. Typical warm notes of Franciacorta: it starts with bread crumbs then spices and dried fruits. It misses a bit on the fresh side (f.e. citrus). In the mouth it's structured and strong flavoured. Unfortunately this bottle has got a sparkle of oxidation but not so strong to spoil the drinkability.
