Ribeira Sacra Godello

A fairly reduced nose, the palate though is all Godello. Mineral and acid driven with a full texture. Good, not great,not the best example of what Goodello brings. #godello

Pale. Aromas of citrus, a hint of tropical fruit. lean and racy. Tasted after being open for 14 days, nearly no oxidation.

Very pale, green/yellow. Aromas of pear, citrus, wet stone. Medium bodies with crisp acids. Tasty but not super complex, yet. Disclaimer: I import this.

Sharply acidic but more like from Meyer lemons than lemons. And then there is honeydew and dried lawn (think how lawns smell around halloween) and stones and a dang surprising long finish. Little bit of a reduced nose- 3 months on lees and shows- good acid and brioche.

If Spain can make any white wine that approaches Chablis in style, class and cut; it must be Godello with it's reserved aromas, weight pallet and crisp acid. Disclaimer: I import this.

Very interesting mature wine that has depth of flavor and some earthiness mixed in. Very dry. Medium/full bodied but decent acidity. 2014 vintage.

2013

Rounded palate and medium bodied. Beeswax, honey, orange blossoms. As it opens, some lovely citrus and minerality comes out!

Light-medium body, lots of red apple, peach, and citrus flavors, maybe a hint of white flowers. Not much aroma, but a long finish.
