A subtle wine, my first time. Needs plenty of air & imagine a decent decant would speed things up a bit for those who can’t wait. Quiet power & finesse. I don’t generally like’super Tuscans’ but this is special.

Ripe. Dried cherry, cranberry, camphor, smoke, herbal. Tannins are very soft. Decent acidity, elevated alcohol

Really good and balanced. Drank over two days and showed dark sour cherry an hour or so after opened. More herbal and tea like the second day. At $25, this would be great to drink regularly.

1.5L bottle served side-by-side to Felsina’s “Fontalloro”. Decanted for two hours and returned to bottle an hour before serving. Sour cherries, black tea, dried herbs...a stunner with food. Obviously the more traditional of the two. A lovely IGT that stays true to the region’s roots. No pun intended.

Fucking gorgeous, such value too. ‘15s are crushing it in CC. Perfumed, elegant, texturally silky, loads of class. Very upfront, immediate, not necessarily a wine of length. Minerality and finely textured tannin drive the wine, classic cherry, violet, and herbal tones of Sangiovese. Just love this wine every time I have it.

Super silk. Beautiful expression of Tuscany that drinks way past it's price point
