Marsanne + Roussanne + Acacia barrel = sappy, honeyed, spicy apricot deliciousness. This has the structure to live forever; I'll never know, can't stop drinking it now. @Chris Broomell kills it again.

2012 Vesper Vineyards Alcala (Marsanne roussanne blend.) Stunning. Dark golden color, honeyed notes on nose & palate. Great acid and rich texture - great job Chris, yum!

Omg Chris Broomell nailed this Marsanne Roussanne blend. Unctuous nose of a classic N Rhone, palate coating texture but with a lean edge that will allow it to lay down for years. Must get more!

Got this from a family member’s wine cellar. Maybe something bad happened in the eight years but this is truly inedible. Color of pee, nothing left but bitterness and vile flavors.

Drank the companion bottles and a Growler back in 2014, but this one got stuck (literally) in the back of the Vinotemp. Hard to coax much out on the nose, but still has some structure and got more interesting on the palate with some air. Held up over a couple of nights, but the nose never came out to play so can’t give it a better score.
