The 2021 Pinot Noir is outrageously beautiful. A vivid, sweeping wine, the 2021 captures all the best qualities of this rugged site. Blue/black fruit, cloves, licorice, menthol, lavender and chocolate all build effortlessly, amplified by the wine's natural intensity and volume. The 2021 is a big, rich wine, but it is also not overdone in any way. Jeff and Mark Pisoni blend their estate Pinot using blocks from the five main soil types found across the property. This is quintessential Pisoni. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2023)

Wowie holding up great. Thought it was raisiny to start with but it then went in reverse and tightened up with an hour. Really lovely dried herbs, red fruits, sandalwood and a little nag champa. Stellar and super fun to try a 22 year old Pinot. It could be nothing other than California and honestly SLH in particular which is a good thing because Burgundy belongs in burgundy and the Pisoni’s belong in SLH. Bravo

Beautifully evolved almost chambertin like. Still deep and with some viscosity but showing a lot of grand cru burgundy notes. Power and finesse. Really glad I waited 10 years on this puppy. Awesome @Jeff Pisoni

My #1 of the night. Loved the nose and the wine. Best expression of Pisoni that I’ve had to date.

Deep, shimmering garnet. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes fresh red and blue fruits, cherry cola, potpourri and exotic spices, all sharpened by a smoky mineral flourish. Deeply concentrated yet energetic in the mouth, offering sappy, mineral- and spice-drenched black raspberry, cherry, boysenberry and rose pastille flavors that spread out steadily through the back half. Shows sharp definition and finishes extremely long and appealingly sweet, with polished tannins and lingering floral and blue fruit notes. The combination of power and finesse here is quite something. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, October 2020)

Time is of the essence! I drank this sometime ago and got none of the funk and Burgundian element. Clove, oil and anise fill the nose. Raspberry, toasted oak with some tart cherry fill the mouth. A lot going on in this wine, nimble and light but offers so many element.

Tart cherries and strawberries on the palate with some spices. Medium bodied and fairly balanced tannins/acid. A rich Pinot, I find Pisoni to be very consistent in profile from year to year. Which to me is a great thing. Very good wine.

Pinot night. This thing is as fresh as the day it was bottled. No way you think this is 14yrs old. Delicious and really fun to drink.
