2017 Vintage - Tart Cherry , earth,, mushroom, some oak background.

Reduction is making this hard to assess. Burnt rubber aromas need time to air out.

Tart and oaky with cherry pie notes. A little boiled candy on the nose, reminiscent of Gamay. Not particularly well-balanced and the length that the flavor stays on the tongue is short-to-medium.

Clear, pale ruby. Earthy, dried leaves, cherry and a bit of white pepper. M acid, body, and alcohol. M finish and a little astringent.

2013. A drizzly day in the boreal forest. Tart cherry pie. A bit woody but that doesn't distract from a sinewy concentration.

Beautiful nose of sous bois and gravel path - complexity enhanced by wonderful minerality. Still tannic, but remarkably enjoyable even in its youth.

Actually quite impressive. Supercharged with Morello Cherries touch Rangpur lines. Almost over the top. But boy is this fun and tasty. Will be interesting to see the evolution.
