Oh my, such a pretty nose and so much red berries! but on the pallet is all tangy red plums. Super fresh and Beaujolais-like in profile. I would love to see this in a years time as it will be much better!

When Soumah of the Yarra Valley (VIC) recently sent me two of their 2021 Single Vineyard Pinot’s to taste 👅, I simply had to crack them both.

So what’s the difference between the two?

They come from two Yarra Valley vineyards, each with its own characteristics.

Both retail for $40.

Then there’s the Upper Ngumby Vineyard Pinot which I found more fruit forward and incredibly food friendly. It’s elegant and juicy and I could literally drink it all night/day long.

Delicious Aussie Pinot that you should get in your glass asap 😉

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

What better than one bottle of Pinot Noir? Two bottles of course! Am I right?

Firstly there’s the Hexham Vineyard near Healesville and the Pinot from this vineyard packs a velvety punch for a Pinot. I loved it from its rich Ruby red colour to its savoury, rich and fuller notes. It’s complex, earthy and classy.

A very pleasant light Pinot Noir from The Yarra Valley. Paired very well with the paella and blackened Ahi tuna
