Blackberry, cassis, raspberry, licorice, vanilla, eucalyptus and oak. Great structure and well-integrated tannins.

With a little more age this will be fabulous. You can taste the Verdot. I'm thinking lamb or something herby with roasted root veggies. Good option for Thanksgiving 2018.

Jammy berry smell on the nose, lighter on the tannins that is easy to drink for someone who doesn't necessarily love reds. Acidic on the swish and more medium bodied.

Aimee Rating - 8.4
Marc Rating - 7.8

Dark fruits, ripe strawberries and leather nose. Christmas greens, earthy funk and balanced fruit finish. Thank you Stinson Vineyard one of Monticello's AVA's best.

Stinson Vineyards 2015 Meritage (SRP $31): This is a really well put together estate-grown Meritage. Composed of 43% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc, 21% Petit Verdot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, it blends richness with finesse—quite effortlessly. It pours deep ruby. Aromas of black cherry, raspberry tart (pretty fruit) and exotic spice dominate; joining flavors of red plum, earth tones and fennel on the medium-bodied palate. It has pleasant acidity with polished tannins and a lingering finish. Only 300 cases of this wine were produced. With the holiday season right around the corner, this is an excellent bottle of wine to have in-hand for your next dinner party. Learn more at stinsonvineyards.com.
