Dense red, some sediment. Jam, mint and ethanol notes on nose. Raspberry and red fruit flavors - tart plum, cherry, also wood, with licorice-tar-chewing gum aftertaste, eventually. Dispersed seed tannins need time to open up. It’s not great, a tad tart and hot, just enough tannin chewiness in finish to go with a frozen pizza or, in my case, frozen veggie lasagna.

Very jammy and sweet. Decent for 10+/- price point. Mellowed out and was a bit more palatable after letting it breathe.

A decent Zin. I'm partial to how zins tasted about 8-10 years ago. This one really needs to breath before enjoying it. Some of the jamminess blows off and it becomes much more drinkable.

Medium ruby color; cherries, plums, and dried herbs on the nose; medium minus acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like blackberries, plum sauce, crushed gravel, and a hint of sage with a long fruity finish. Easy drinking and crowd pleasing.

2019 vintage. Nice mouth feel, pretty color, full-body. Berries and stone fruit, vanilla and a hint of pepper. Delicious with char-grilled strip steak and sautéed mushrooms! At home with Chas. From Winc.

Pretty good Zin for the price, but be sure to let it breathe. Much better after it’s been open awhile. $10 at Kroger. At Doug and Suzy’s 1/30/21.

Black cherry on the nose. Immediate tannins on the mouth. More on teeth and gums. Less on tongue. Dark fruit without being jammy. The opposite of cloying.

It was... adequate. A bit too strong on the cherry notes and fruit.
