Always enjoy some Muscadet. This one wasn't all that memorable but served the purpose.

Falls flat on the palate. Leaves a hollow sensation with a pithy finish. Some chalk and creaminess from the lees, with high acid, which carries the unpleasant finish for too long.

Some chalk, lemon, melon and white flowers on the nose. Rather nice! The palate is acid driven with this chalkiness balancing down a bit the strength of the acid backbone. Not so much fruit on the palate, but a real freshness and a nice touch. Finish with white flowers and some melon too. Not as bad as described by some here in this vintage. At first and out of the fridge it was indeed flat but it gathered some strength and expression after an hour and half and some additional degrees

For a muscadet under $20 this is a delicious wine. Less austere than many, I get pineapple and grapefruit on the nose and palate. It's a little light on the body, but completely delicious. We had it with roasted monkfish and a fennel-cream sauce. Did just fine.

Sometimes one just has to accept what nature provides and leave it at that. Case in point...2015...Melon de Bourgogne.

Average white, nothing spectacular. Slight acidity and sour.
