This was a baby, but already had a good bit of barnyard funk on the nose which subsided slightly after an hour and gave way to layers of bright red fruit framed by moderate acidity. The palate is still in a very primary stage this early, but should put on a little weight and add some complexity over the next decade.

Sadly, this btl has seen better days. I bought it at the winery in 2014, but it had a rough transit back to the US and I think it suffered along the way. Likely heat damaged, and I should have opened it earlier. Very attenuated.

This was quite good, but not really as open and expressive as I expected. Hopefully it was just in a slump, even after more than an hour of decanting. Good acidity and balance, but the aroma seemed reserved and the fruit showed a bit, but didn’t impress.
