St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend

Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend. Bold aromas of blackberry/blueberry fruit with a subtle hint of dark chocolate. Same black/blue fruit on the pallet with additional notes of plums, tobacco and dried herbs. Oak is present but not overwhelming. Opaque purple color. Very smooth tannin structure. It’s a concentrated powerhouse but there is also elegance.

Basic Bordeaux. Not complex . Reasonable acidity amidst a lot of oak, structure meh

Easy to drink, simple and smooth. Good price point.

Dark berries and somewhat velvety once past the alcohol peak. 1/9-2017

Solid.

Rich, dry, bold mouthfeel. Too many tannins for honig. A little spicy.

2010 Full bodied; alas no ageing to be expected
