The month of obscure northern Italian red varietals contines with outstanding results....Mostly Grenache as far as my research tells me (as well as a limited import of 20 cases to the U.S.?!) Drunk with Nantucket bay scallops, a fine match - who needs Chianti....? 😎 🍷

A steal at $20. A rich, raspberry sherbert note on the nose, but also with a heavier dark fruit note. Smooth, with nice ripeness on the palate. It's like deciding to make a Chianti with actual heft. Points for cost/quality ratio.

Fresh blackberry, violets and mixed red berries on the nose. I'd imagine it's heavy on Grenache in this blend since the tannin structure is very thin.
