I loved this wine. Tasted blind against some CNPs and was the winner for me. I am told it’s in the US$30 rang which makes it a QPR gem too.

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Sweet nose of cherry pie, strawberries, blackberries, currants, bell peppers, earth, sage, peppermint, chocolates, alcohol, spices and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, bell peppers, cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, earth, leather, spices, peppercorn, mocha, smoke and chocolates.
Medium plus in finish with round tannins and spices.
This Nice Australian Shiraz is balanced and good by itself, or with food. Would pair nicely with BBQ Meats.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly and remove the bitterness at the ending, and add more complexity.
14.8% alcohol by volume.

Fruit forward, well structured Shiraz at $25 price point. Blackberry spice, pepper, and plum current. Would pair nicely with a summer burger or a dryer piece of red meat. Not much tannin in this viscous, summer party starter. Fun wine.

Mar 4th, 2018Wow, very impressive Shiraz! Nice nose of deep dark fruit--plum, cassis, black cherry. It smells like it will be thick and intense, and it does not disappoint! A pinch of mouth watering pepper at first, then black cherry, and a long lasting aftertaste of caramel. All of the things I love in a great Shiraz! A new favorite.
