Priorat

Very well balanced. More fruity than I thought

Play on sweet and sour. Blackberries, blueberries, anise, beef tartare and cocoa. Floral notes throughout. Lots of minerality.

2002 Vintage. Beautiful fruit going through with still nice structure and balance. Ready to drink. But will Cellar the last bottle to see how it holds.

Color: Pale cherry, light to medium purple. Opaque. Smell: BlackBerry, vanilla, clove, leather, hint of mushroom (?). Tears showing med (?) viscosity/alcohol. Structure: med tart, med tannin, med to full body. Med alcohol. Notes: chocolate, vanilla, cherry. Medium length, smoky, tart finish. Very tasty, but with some tannin bite and a slight burn of alcohol.

A little flat at first but very nice once it's had a chance to open up

Taste a little flat and simple, but a small softness to it. A simple wine with limited flavor

Go-to priorat. Dark fruit, graphite, great acidity to be flexible with whatever you're eating. I even had it with a spicy Cajun shrimp and it did well.

flavors reveal a nice mixture of vegetal, earth and plum/blackcurrant. the oak really mellows everything out. gentle for a priorat.

Unbelievable good find at BevMo. This wine is HUGE. Need to let it open up a bit, but really nice mouthfeel and strong finish.
