This is excellent! And I thought it was cool that I just happened to be reading about Mona Lisa! I guess this wine was bottled at Fattoria La Ripa owned in the 15th century by the one and only Mona Lisa! The label recalls Leonardo's typical back to front handwriting. It's actually very light for a Chianti. Very good!

2013. Dusty tart cherry, toasty oak, black cherry. Great value here. Rich and jammy mouthfeel initially, subdues into a nice little charmer, with more to offer than new world fruit. Hard to fault it's somewhat truncated ending.

Nice sipper on a Tuesday night with some pizza. Good acidity with a dusty quality. Some fruit on the front end that gets over taken quickly. Simple, rustic. The food is going to be the star here. Like the Mona Lisa, it is generous enough in dimension to not be completely disappointing; but with out food, all I really taste is Le Terre.
