This was excellent cool climate syrah—to paraphrase another reviewer, in the style of northern rhone minus some of the more feral elements and with a bit of CA warmth in the form of dark berries and cocoa. Another hit from Enfield

Tasty: blueberry, chocolate, smoke and cassis. Balanced and medium bodied, not too bright or savage. Faded over time and drink up. Enfield makes delicious wines across the board and for the value.

As expected from Enfield, this oozes class and balance. Not as austere as true Sonoma Coast, and not as sauvage as the northern Rhône, this has pretty ripe black and blue fruits while still possessing all of the beautiful floral, smoky, meaty, peppery elements you’d expect from top notch Syrah. Tannins are resolved and acid plays a leading role, keeping this fresh and exciting. Enjoyed over two nights with Szechuan (and Szechuan leftovers). Perhaps a bit subtle for the food, but still delicious.

Well balanced with plenty of black fruit, medium acidity and tannin. Long finish, good wine with food

One of many photos you'll be seeing from me of this wine. Why, you ask? Because it's fucking awesome.

Very red fruited, but still clearly Syrah. Beautiful, and a lovely sense of old world style with new world fruit. Stood out among many worthy wines as its own animal.

Blueberries & cedar on the nose. Super grippy tannin, great flavor, mostly upfront on the palate. Don't open this for a few more years!
