First time trying this producer, and was very impressed. Bright, serious, and delicious.

One of my least favorite tasting terms but makes sense here..."pain grillé." Plus primary red fruit.

'01 Lignier clos de la Roche. Just beginning to start to unspool. Unbelievably beautiful and persistent. I'd weep, but I'm smiling too much

This wine was so fine i stayed up til 4 outside chatting it up with my friend Kellen and all to my neighbor's dismay. He started the leaf blower up at 6 right by my bedroom window to return the favor.

After third day. Dusty minty with depth Perfect balance of tannis. A little dulll lacking acids. More ripe bold.

Continue to like not love the ‘05. good wine but doesn’t feel Burgundian. Might need to give the others some more time to rest.

Over the top. Dark, woodsy infusion of strawberry and blackberry. Structure from the core out. Such clarity. Tangy tannins linger for 60+ seconds. Grands Cru in a meh year still bring the magic, no?

2007 vintage in magnum. Deep, dark and luscious. Oakwood, cinnamon, dark berry fruits, earthy. Lovely smokey notes. On the palate, very balanced. Medium plus acidity, medium integrated soft tannins, plush mid palate, dark plum, layers of flavour. Good fruit. Great length. Very enjoyable.
