A gentile nose. Musty aromas blow off quite quickly to reveal aromas of fresh red berry compote, candied cherry and a touch of dried herbs and mint. Gentile and juicy on the palate with finely grained tannins. Flavors of red cherry and red raspberry lead to touch of mint, dried herbs, white pepper a spice. This is all balanced out by bright, juicy acidity. The finish is laced with soft tannins and acidity with just a lingering notion of red fruit. Wonderful with a Chicken Parmesan fit for the birthday girl! Happy birthday Kati!
