Huh...interesting and oldworld as hell to start. Bites back and I was expecting the earthy, even barnyard and manure aromas, but then it went pretty fruity upon opening up a bit. Confusing, disjointed, but interesting enough for another glass.

Smoke of bacon, barnyard, tar and gamy on the nose follow by savory black raspberry and dry cherry on the palate. Moderate acid and long finish. Is like a cross between well aged Cornas and Barolo.
