100% Cab Sauv, deep Ruby with aromas of red/black fruits, oak, sweet herbs and spice. On the palate raspberry and blackberry flavors with notes of cacao and espresso. Fine soft dusty tannins, satisfying acidity on long smooth finish ending with sweet oak tones. Nice! Perfect now!

Superlative. Virtuoso. The reason to drink wine. Scott McLeod + Coppola-Niebaum old vine Rutherford Cabernet + 2007 = near-perfection. One cannot overstate the beauty and artistry of this wonderful Cabernet. It is like a symphony, from the opening notes of muted mocha cherry to the finishing tones of classic Rutherford dust. In a word, exquisite!

Drinking as expected and consistently good for a Scott McLeod vintage. Soft tannins but structured with sour cherry fruit and not overly oaked. Many miles to go.

Stewed; blackberries, black plum, dark cherries, plum, black raspberries, strawberries, mix of dry & fresh red roses, spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel and vanilla on the nose. The palate is; blackberries, ripe dark cherries, cherries, strawberry shortcake, milk chocolate, caramel, dry brown earth with crushed dry rocks, tough leather, chalkiness, dry roses, dry stems, used dry coffee grounds, high acidity with a ripe, round, bright, mixed berry long finish. It's just short of peak stage. Very nice value. Puts on a lot dark cassis weight as it opens up in a longer decant.

I thought I had muffed this one as it was a stray that got lost in the cellar. Was digging around trying to make room for the latest deliveries and came across this. Mr. Fish was coming over, and he's a big fan. Why not open it at 12 years. Tannins nicely integrated but the fruit had faded. Probably past its prime but enjoyable. Just glad it wasn't a dumper. Good find albeit late.

An iconic California Cab. 2006 maybe isn't a vintage that will keep forever, but today it is showing pretty darn well. Their use or "over use" of Oak is the one aspect that could be toned down. I think this wine has a pretty distinct dark berry fruit profile with near perfect tannin structure and there really was no need to distract from that. I definitely recommend you think short ribs or something with high levels of lipids to pair with it's classic Cabernet style.

Still holds it’s own after decanting. Loads of dark fruit with smooth velvety finish. We purchased at the winery during a trip to Napa in 2009.

Stellar Cabernet from Inglenook!! very rich and balanced and much life left. Quite young but not overly tannic. Continued to evolve for more than an hour. Ripe but not alcoholic. A pleasure to share with friends and a fine meal.
