Violet

This wine has a nice nose but no flavor. Earthy nose develops after 45 minutes. But the flavor never improves. The taste is just alcohol and acid. Not worth buying.

bouquet shows orange blossum, banana, sweet biscuit...palate gives yeast, orange, anise, graham cracker and mango. rich and tropical but with great minerality and acidity.

smells like fur/animal, violets, vinyl, blackberries, rich earth, a little leather, some forest floor
taste adds- ripe plum, faint kalamata, some garrigue and blood, wood, black raspberries and blackcurrants. rough and rustic, but the berries are jammy enough to balance it out. tasty.

Just lovely and bodied red cotes du Rhône à Nice discovery!......

Med-high tannins, low acid, deep purple. Chalky (not exactly mineral), with a hint of spice, heavy Grenache...fruits but not juicy. Hard to describe!

Third bottle of this producer. Flat, some metallic hints. Expecting much more.
