Les Casses-Têtes Meursault Chardonnay

Wonderful nose of spicey oak and intense minerality. Saline. Rock quarry vibes. Lemon pith lemon flesh with hints of sugar. So complex and appealing. Hint of butter and loads of salinity. Nose is just a wonderful perfume. 9.6 nose. Showing so well. Palate is juicy and tensile with a killer rich texture and ample freshness. Chewy and rocky with great finesse and some green apple fruit. Lacey, juicy and slippery. Amazing purity and balance here and almost finished with some dry tannins. Just awesome. Like a white burgundy liquid drop amuse bouche.

Wow this is singing! What a nose. Gorgeous lemon inflected minerality. Hints of attractive spicey oak and stunning rocky minerality. Tree bark and herbs. So good. What a screaming mimi of a nose. Palate is rich and ripe but also nervy and tense. Amazing purity buttressed by that awesome Meursault richness. Lovely texture. Awesome mouthfeel and a lovely lemon drop lime zest finish. Wonderful.

With 2018 CC has gone to another level. A vintage I prefer to 2014 and 2017. More depth. More harmony. Gorgeous nose. Lemon oil. Lemon pith, stunning spice and deep penetrating minerality. Hint of green Apple and tons of wet earth. Just a slamming nose. New nuances approach every 10 minutes. Beguiling and dizzying. Palate is so refined, fresh and sleek. So nimble, mineral and racy. Amazing palate presence and near perfect focus. Ripe and so juicy but with a very serious and very intense mineral attack and then lemon and lime gumdrops. Perfect balance and jaw dropping purity. Infinite finesse. So focused and lean yet this is like a laser on the palate. Amazing texture and a sense of tactile mineralic sweetness. Awesome mid palate and stunning dissipating finish. Awesome inner mouth aromas and super salty finish. Lingers and lingers. A masterpiece.

I love this site. It’s so distinct and in the right hands makes 1er quality wine that’s like a mini Perrieres as it has the same super rocky poor soil. Meyer lemon, butter, grilled nuts, mineral, tree bark, so earthy and mineral. Palate is so elegant and just beautiful. Wow. Hauntingly elegant. So mineral with some buttery fruit but man this is wow. This has really caught me off guard. Fuck. What a beautiful wine.

what a wine. Gotta be most underrated estate for high quality white Burg from top sites in all of Cote de Beaune. Amazing nose. Meyer lemon, gorgeous defined minerality, so lithe and detailed. Smoke, nuts, butter. Palate is just as impressive if not more. Explosive concentration and purity with amazing detail, vivid fruit, sap, minerality and unreal length. Serious spine and structure here and a lovely sweetness you don't get in many white burgs. Wow. So juicy and clean. What a genius this kid is. Great acids. So fresh and so pure.

This was great. It had the weight but there was a laciness that kept this wine aloft and moving. Great oak balance here, crystal clear profile with a touch of class to it. Classic yet speaks to the modern state of Meursault wines too.

Nice nose. Typical chavy richness and awesome fruit. Great balance. Juicy. Really scores high on the deliciousness scale. Bought from Fass Selections.
