The northern Italian red version of a Golden Retriever-the 30% Barbera, I suspect, adds a sunny brightness to the more soulful, young Nebbiolo. Some Negrette too. Vibrant almost cadmium red color. Fresh rose petals offset by that lipstick red fruit. My house red in previous years.

Easy table wine. Mod tannins and acidity. Great blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera.

Chaming, with air gains nice depth and complexity. Drink now, no need to age to get youthful and enjoyable nebbiolo character.

Zippy and juicy. Bit of spice at end.

Loads of tangy, plummy, cherryish fruit, along with pulverized rock dust and a purple floral component. The fruit has a tangy plummy character, with great acids. Really flexible with food.

My “house wine”. A short decant/air tames whatever is shrill. Rosenthal import, of course

We were invited over to a house warming gathering for some friends and they graciously provided some Neapolitan pizzas. We brought three bottles of Ferrando Canavese. This stuff is just so delicious; so easy to enjoy and outrageous quality for the money. Tough to find so swoop it up when you see it.

My new ‘ house ‘ red- mountain Nebbiolo w some Negrette(I think), a fave Carema producer- under 17$ & beautifully balanced, tart ( but check as it evolves in glass)

Such pretty fruit. Sturdy but approachable tannins, strong floral character and just a dusting of truffles.
