Strong fruit bouquet of raspberry, currants, tobacco, coffee, and cedar. Very perfumed. And yes! Tobacco, cedar, and raspberry notes abound, low tannins, juicy, and smooth. Oh boy does this go down easily! And $19 is a deal. Love this!!!

2018 Vintage is a Merlot/Cab Franc blend aged 16 months in French oak. Nose: plums, black raspberries, black pepper and green bell pepper Taste: everything on the nose, plus a bit of strawberry and something indescribably floral Medium-high tannins, long finish.

Very Bordeaux’ish with cassis, cigars a bit of dark chocolate and a mental whiff. On the palate balanced and ripe, with good acidity and smooth tannins. A bit too woody though. And overall slightly monotone- missing the freshness and nuances. A solid if slightly ordinary wine.
