This museum release was everything and more that Iād want from a 2005 South Australian Shiraz š¤¤
Mr Spittoon and I enjoyed it for date night with a nice juicy steak, shoestring fries and green beans with a pepper sauce and oh my, it was wine and good heaven!
In the glass it was virtually an opaque garnet, hardly showing its age (just like Mr Spittoon š) and on the nose and in the mouth it was rich, opulent and distinguished. Think peppered plums, tobacco and mocha. Full bodied and still pretty fresh for an 18 year old š

Liquorice, light peppery tones, perhaps mild mint. 2013 vintage has a youthful sophistication and very enjoyable currently. Will certainly improve with time, truly an underpriced Shiraz.

Jun 24th, 2016Dark and smoky. Black fruited and slightly herbal. Found this to have a heap of licorice again. Tannins are feintly hanging in there, alcohol quite present. Wasn't as jammy as anticipated.
