Sample from #CapeClassics.
Medium ruby red. Layered nose with high intensity not watered down. Definite South African Funk starting off a little stinky, gamey, chalky and ended with some light vegetal notes. Solid cherries carried throughout. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) with not much fruit. Full bodied with balanced acidity. Very Bordelaise like withdark red cherries, some savory elements, earthy characteristics like iron and minerality. Very dry and long finish. Beautiful Bordeaux blend from South Africa. Drink till 2024.

Good Bordeaux blend, full bodied with a nice texture and good fruit integrated with a organic earthiness.

Leather blackberry, blueberry, brown sugar smell, thick magenta color with a red lean, big acid jam, blackberry, boysenberry, currant body that has a full and balanced acid tannin combo that allows the brown sugar and jam to leave its mark at the end

Quite a surprise for Woolworths clearance. Didn't know it before, but a very nice Bordeaux style blend. Wish I'd bought the rest of what they had! Not my favorite of the ZA ones, but very, very good and worth a try.

Quite old world Bordeaux in style with rounded, supple tannins, fruit and acid beautifully integrated. Still delicious after 13 years!

Beautiful again -- more minerality and less tobacco/tar/chocolate than the last bottle. Makes it more interesting in my opinion -- the extra salinity vs traditional bordeaux adds another dimension and brightens up the palate. Makes me think of Cape Town.
