Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Fruity nose of dried figs, raisins, blackberries, vanilla, cedar, leather, chocolates, tobacco, licorice, peppercorn, spices, cloves, mocha, pencil lead, spices, light vegetables and coke.

Full bodied, bold and smooth, with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, mocha, tobacco, earth and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Amarone. Still young, but already drinking very nicely. Very complex with a great mouthfeel. Powerful, spicy and fruity. Reminds me of a young Napa Cabernet but smoother.

Delicious and yummy by itself or with food. I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.

A blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella and 10% Molinara. Aged in French Oak barrels for 3 years.

15% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$30.

I have really been getting into Italian wines lately and this was recommended at the wine store. I also spent more than I normally would on a wine which is disappointing. 70% Corvina Veronese, 20% Rondinella and 10% Molinara. It’s a medium bodied wine with a ruby red color. It’s very tannic, a little peppery but with a little bit of chocolate, not much fruit. When I sniff it, it smells very high in alcohol. (15%) it has a very long finish on the tongue. Not so sure about this one. Maybe the 2nd night will be better ☹️
