Pretty classic Barolo with a bit of bottle age. Rich nose has spice, rich macerated cherry, leather, gravel. On the palate the flavors are savory and intense, with zingy acids. Still lots of fairly fine-grained tannin in the puckery finish. Drinks beautifully now with food (we had it with a red wine and sausage risotto), but perhaps a little demanding on its own.

This is fantastic. Dark ruby and glowing. The nose is deep and layered. Floral but with dark brooding cherry. Sweet fruit on the front plate then a depth of blue and black fruit mixed with a wall of powdery ripe tannin.
