Absolutely beautiful. A little bit out of the box. The tannic structure is light but it is a barbaresco. It is a modern style but it is elegant.

Needs about an hour to open up before you can smell the roses. Literally. And about 4 sips before you can taste them. Good wine, stiff tannins even though it's 8 or 9 years old now. Leave me alone, I refuse to do math at midnight in December. Next month it's 9.

Bigger than most Barbarescos… earthy and dry, some must, some spice. Lovely on the tongue. Light florals. Not overpowering. Classic Italian tart / cran. Even a lemony finish.
X-Mas gift from Tom& Sal from Le Volpi e l'Uva, Florence… their Northern Italian Wine Club this year. The rest of the case is headed for the cellar.

Wow this turned out pretty nice for an entry level Barba. Dried leaves, tobacco, earl grey tea, asphalt and a floral violet notes. Good freshness and a present but integrated tannine structure. This is at peak.

Age made this wine soft, bricky and clearly tertiary. Dried leaves, tea, tobacco some red fruits and a raisiny note. Pretty long and with grip left on it.

What a great wine! Ruby red, 100% nebbiolo! Smoky aroma... cherries and plumbs. Had it with Quail and truffel... very nice

BIG! Super dry. Somewhat oaky. I find it a bit chalky: grade school.
